Tell me about it...I just put new front suspension on my bike, new front brakes, ordered a rear shock, new swingarm, bar end weights, VROD headlight...and I can't test it out!!!

that is a cryin shame, we are working on 11 inches of snow that fell overnight... my poor neglected bike.

My brand new 07 blue fz6, 1.7m on the odo, sits in my van, awaiting it license plate on Monday and fairer weather; luggage and maybe an HID conversion to follow.
5 inches of wet snow here. I brought in the firewood last night so I wouldn't have to fight it today.

I guess I've got no choice but to wait. I've been dealing with two seperate Yami dealers since a week before Christmas to try and find this bike. At least now I've got it in my basement. On a seperate note, will you guys go out for a ride on a single warm day in the winter, or does the thought of sliding on cinders scare you into waiting a little longer? Several guys at work brag about taking their Harleys
out any day they can, but I'm a little leery about the cinders/gravel, especially on turns.

i would ride in the winter if the roads were primarily dry and just take it easy and slow so that you can avoid any kind of sand/sliding

75 and sunny in Austin, started wet and spity today so I drove to drill, I'm cooped up in a windowless office working on a mindnumbing Duty Manning Document for the Battalion's annual training in Honduras this summer. I'd rather be riding...it is what it is...

Riding with the King
I've been riding (ninja 250). Only during the warmest hours, usually 1-3 pm. Just watch out for ice, salt, and sand. Little by little I got acclimated to the cold, so that doing 85 on a 35* day wasn't a problem (2 prs jeans, lined leather jacket over felt vest). And I usually feel the cold big time. Only problem is my chain picked up some rust, probably from the salt. Won't be long now, even 5" of heavy snow is vanishing pretty quickly.

i just bought my 04 fz6 last november. i had a couple weeks to ride it before i had to put it away. i get it out any chance i get every now and then. but i really cant wait till nicer weather so i can ride it every day
