West coast Canada touring???

I can't get over how well-thought out US roads are compared to the spaghetti squiggle we get here in the UK. It must be so hard to get lost there! You can tell that someone with half a brain actually got a map out and thought about what would be easiest for people. In the UK, they probably just got a three-year old a map and a pen and followed the scribbling!!!

haven't done it but i would continue into vancouver and then stop by when you get to north van. then go north on 99 to whistler and then go back around through cache creek to get home.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but thats Canada. For the most part, what you say is kind of true for the states, but there are some cities that just don't make any sense. Like Washington D.C. and even Boston to name a couple of cities that's confusing and hard to understand. As large as NYC is, it will take a minute to figure out how Manhattan is designed. Real easy.

That's a nice route you're taking....pretty decent roads and fantastic scenery. Lots of places to stop overnight as well. Watch out for wildlife (particularly deer) and logging trucks on the road in the Kootenays and from Nakusp on to Vernon. You might want to consider changing the route slightly for your return home and go over the Hope-Princeton Highway to Keremeos, then down to Osoyoos. You can then head back to Alberta by way of Midway and Grand Forks.

That's looking like a nice route! There are some fantastic roads near castlegar. That would probably be my fav part of the trip, but I'm sure you'll really enjoy your new path as well. I live in Abbotsford and have done a lot of that area from Lilloet to Castlegar. Going to be doing some 2-3 days rides soon up to Banff and a few other areas I haven't been to in years! :rockon:
