I saw one in the shop today...they look very nice...quite conservative, and they also look a little more compact than the FZ6...most unimtimadating.

Am guessing, in this day and age of, when cheap to run commuter bikes, that offer friendly, useable power, are becoming all the go, this bike will be a hit...

I did a sit test at the dealer when I picked up my K&N filter. The bike was comfortable and felt a bit smaller than the regular FZ, almost felt like it sat lower too, but i wasn't sure.

I'm pretty sure that they do sit one inch lower than the previous models. Like mentioned before, they are gearing the new FZ as an entry level sportsbike, so they have made it lighter, lower, plus full fairing and detuned in hp compared to the earlier model. This way, you won't have a bunch of newbies buying the R6 which is in my opinion, a mistake.

Its actually a steel frame and a tad heavier than the FZ6. It does sit about an inch lower but can be raised 3/4" from the lower position. I believe the bars can be adjusted as well. Great bike for someone that is tired of the riding position of the usual suspects and wants the full fairings from the factory at a reasonable price.

I totally agree....I see WAY too many guys out there buying far more bike than they are ready for...hell today I saw a guy riding a brand new gixxer 1000 wearing nothing more than a helmet and sweats....no gloves, no boots, nothing. The light went green and this old lady in a caddy beat him off the line by a good long ways, then he tries to snap on the throttle to pass her and almost goes right off the back end....what a :squid:
