Well that ride home was the most unnerving & down right scary ride in my life
Adverse weather doesnt faze me in the slightest , in my 12 years of interstate truckin' & some 8+ million kilometres i've witnessed Mother Nature at her best. From lighting fires under the sump in snow , driving through the eye of a cat 3 cyclone in Mackay , gale force winds pushing my truck sideways & taking up 2 & a half lanes of the Newcastle Freeway , fog so thick I could not see the bug deflector on the end of my bonnet & riding in recent hail storm I thought i'd seen it all....
Till tonight , when for the first time I was very worried...... A combination of very wet roads , the layer of ultra slippery mud/silt that lines Brisbanes roads & the fact that this place without power is incredibly dark.... The mud seems to absorb your headlight & high beam does sweet FA , I rode around 2 round-a-bouts with my feet down at a snails pace & still had the bike slipping under me

... Traffic lights that you know are there somewhere but because they dont work you cant gauge where you are , along Fairfeild Rd there is rubbish lining the roadside & median strip & I swear due to it being so dark if you came off cars would not see you till they were just inches away
Then of course there is the potholes that will swallow you up in Brisbane & spit you out down the Gold Coast :shakehead: this city has a looooong ways to go......
Thats my sook for the day

, the ride into work was great though  Still , I think I might cage it tomorrow with these storms hanging around.....
