Gawd I hate the freaking flu.:(

Had an RDO weekend, so three days of mostly good weather, and only just got out for a short ride this arvo.....short, but very sweet. Went pretty hard to make up for not getting out all weekend, but was glad to get home, and lie back down again:(. Probably shouldn't have gone out, but was hangin' for a ride:rockon:.

Trashed. Loads better today, except for the follow up dry itchy cough, and feeling like poo 'cause I've been in bed for three days. Haven't been able to take time off, 'cause we only have a small crew, and one bloke is off on holidays.

Thinking about riding to work tomorrow , will be first time on a bike for 2 months.
My wife worried leg may not be good enough but it is pretty good, about 95% and I really wanna try.

Well, today i found out what Jess is getting me for "Christmas"! Yep, i know it's October, but Jess has already gone and bought my present, and it should arrive later this week....

a 55"/139CM LED LCD Full high def, 100Hz TV!

Faaaaark! We are actually renting it on a staff rental plan...which means over 3 years we only pay $100 more than the book price of the TV, and after 12 months we can upgarde to the latest and greatest...

i hate credit, or loans, etc...in fact i loath such stuff! but this is a good deal!

Televisions - 55LE5310 - LG Electronics Australia

Nice freakin present! :cheer::cheer::cheer:

Did you do it Mick ?? I hope so because you know what they say , near enough is good enough :D

Unfortunately no Dan,felt really nervous sipping my coffee and looking at the bike this morning, strange thing is ,when I decided not to ride it was like a huge wave of relief.

Might try again tomorrow.

Only you can know when the time is right Mick , dont rush it
Perhaps start with a few runs around the block like I did when I returned to riding :don'tknow: I know it worked for me because within 10 minutes of riding again I had to buy another bike :D

Good move bro:thumbup:,take your time & ride when you want to,not because you think you have to...;)

Thats a good idea, its better to go for a casual ride which can be 2 minutes, or 2 hours depending how you feel, rather than going somewhere, otherwise your stuck with a whole trip there and back even if you feel uncomfortable!

Just remember if you get on the bike and feel the urge to buy something else... like an XJR1300 you've probably suffered undiagnosed mental damage and should see a doctor asap!
On the bright side if this does happen as long as your staying with a Yamaha the damage can't be too bad!

You could also do some practice runs! Wheel the bike out into the driveway, give it a quick clean/polish, then jump on and pretend your riding, although I would advise against trying to lean as it may end badly.
Not only will you become reaccustomed to your bike, but you'll also give everyone in the neighborhood some entertainment!
Loud Vroooming noises may help to keep it realistic.
