Our local newspaper had an article last week about the increase in motorcyclist deaths in Utah over the last year or so. They blamed rusty or inexperienced riders, no helmets, and just the increase in the number of riders, but they left out one thing:

Cell phones are banned (while driving) here in Chicago...I see people driving/talking every time out out in traffic. I guess the enforcement just isn't there or it's hard to catch people.

Same here in michigan.. detroit just passed a law about cell phones while driving including texting while driving...

If it was me I would have a statewide ban

Same in NY, except it is a statewide ban. It was enforced pretty heavily initially, but since, the enforcement's dropped off significantly.
