Slipped on rocks, damage, question:

Hey all.

Thankfully was wearing full gear,

Road maintenance apparently doesn't exist in my hometown, turned off the highway to a side street, probably 10 mph or less, and it was like glass, I didn't have a chance. Laid it on the right side.

Good news is not too much damage. Just the front panel where the mirror hooks up to, and the rest can be buffed out really easy.

Any ideas on cost of damage?

damage is on the two panels that overlap each other by the mirror. Hopefully you guys know what I'm talking about.

Wear the scratches as battle scars and keep riding.....at least that is what i'd do. I figure no need in fixing it if it aint broke.

Do you mean the windscreen or the inner panel (or both)? If the damage is small and you feel confident with your skills have a look here....this is above my skill level way above

These two parts I am looking at replacing. The piece under the main cover is broken the outside one (where the lights go in, and the windshield connects to) is badly scratched, I would prefer replacing too.)

Help with names?

If you go to Ronayers.com Fiche Desktop Motorcycle Yamaha 2005 FZ6ST FZ6, they have microfiche online and you can view the exploded diagrams and order all the right parts. Not too bad on prices either!

The cowling is:

and the piece over it is:

You're looking for the "UR BS4" parts I believe. These are the two I've noted above.

Now that I've got that out of the way, any thoughts on buffing out scratches on the frame?
