Question about 2005 vs 2007

Hey everyone...i'm trying to figure this out but figured i'd ask in case anyone knows off-hand!

Would a 2005 cowl fit on a 2007? I know there were *some* changes between the years...

I have a 2007 with a cowl that's pretty busted up...and I can potentially purchase a 2005 cowl but don't want to if headlights/mounting points/etc are different.

Any help or wisdom appreciated!!!

Your headlights will fit, the mounting points are all the same too. Stumbling block is that your speedo won't fit. 04 - 06 models have the round clocks, 07+ models have the analogue rpm clocks.

Other than this, the 05 fairing looks old compared to the 07+! I have an 06 and would love to swap out for an 07+, but don't want to mess around with the speedo. Why not go naked?

I considered going naked...but it sounds as though it is the same cost roughly. My last bike was naked too...so I eventually landed on keeping the cowl.
I think I could be persuaded either way at this point. I just don't want to pay for a new cowl at the dealer!
