It is costly to have a PC lll or PCV and then Dyno it at an additional $300+ for a decent tune but....getting additional performance isn't the only issue. Air to fuel ratio is an important factor to the longevity of the engine. The cool thing about the dyno'd map is you are tuning and sniffing A:F through a wide range of RPM, throttle percentages and under load. That's a little different from guessing and good tuners are a little more than your exercise coach with you on a tread mill.

So you're probably okay with just a slip on as many have stated but if your grabbing for extra ponies elsewhere and you want a healthy air to fuel ratio.

Thinking about it many drop 600-800 bucks on exhausts for how much gain?

I had my FZ6 dyno'd w/ PClll and it ran so strong!
