man, i am so jealous. wtf am i still doing in maryland? i'm going out riding with a friend on sunday. the weather:
Mostly sunny, with a high near 27. Breezy, with a west wind between 22 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph.

Just to give you an idea, here's what I'm wearing on my upper body: three layers of under armour, gerbings heated vest, Fleece sweater, rain liner, textile jacket, balaclava and back protector.
Let's see how long I last

Nice vid David... you're making me miss my old car dude. Just wait until I get my WRX, then I'll handily spank you guys in the twisty stuff and in the straight line.:rockon: I do miss how easy that RSX-S is to drive; arguable the best handling car I've ever driven and the easiest to drive fast the first time you get into the driver's seat. And this is coming from also having owned/driven an M3 prior to that. The beamer was a much faster car, but frankly hard to drive fast until you knew it's personality.

Glad to see you are keeping her looking shiny and clean. Love the red calipers, easily my favorite cosmetic mod. Although the custom foglights were fun to wire up as well with the OEM switch in the dash. No foggies for the photo shoots?

Yo Cliff I thought of you while we were up there, but as usual, the ride got organized pretty much the same day and so we did not have the time to rally the troops...

Yeah I forgot to turn them on! The car felt wonderful all day... the new Bridgestone Potenza tires John and I put on are awesome btw... When's the big move to the East Coast happening?

These little RSXs can corner though... and John's pace is about the same whether on a bike or in a car ................... :cheer:

That's only because you haven't let me take you out in that car on a good twisty road. As much experience as John has on the track on a bike is about as much as I have in the car on the track. Dad and I do the Skip Barber school of racing pretty often as a father son weekend. And oh is that RSX well balanced for a front-wheel-drive car... g-d I love it.

Dad and I do the Skip Barber school of racing pretty often as a father son weekend. And oh is that RSX well balanced for a front-wheel-drive car... g-d I love it.

Nah.....I'm going to take you guys down that in my Rubicon....Hahaha. Right down the side of the mountain!

Believe it or not, there's a way from the top of Montezuma, just passed Ranchita, across to the Yaqui pass area on 78, through the mountains off-road.
Haven't been on it in years so maybe I should tackle it in a few days....

With all of that racing school "experience", I would think that you would have recognized that the tires that were on the RSX when you sold it were toast and causing serious handling issues. I pointed it out to David, he replaced them, and it transformed the car. Don't believe me, ask him.

Maybe old Skip Barber doesn't cover that part of car feedback until the NEXT class...

Those tires were great when new, but we all know tires begin to lose their "ideal" characteristics as they wear and those tires only had a couple thousand miles left on them. It'd be fun to get you guys out on a track in the cars to see what you can do. I'd definitely join you for that.:thumbup:

That reminded me...

Last time we went to Willow Springs (Streets), SpeedTrialUSA (car track org) was on the big track, so after we were done we stopped by to check them out...

How about doing the Streets of Willow (small track) in the car on Feb 6-7? $130 for one day, which is very reasonable... (I thought it would much more expensive in cars).

They have another one at Streets at the end of May and one at big Willow mid-July...
