I'm kind of perplexed.....I have gone over 2000 miles and it appears that my oil level hasn't really changed. It seems that I was burning up a lot of oil before the first change, but now it hasn't budged. I check it with the center stand so the bike is level. Just wondering how your bikes are behaving.

As the bike breaks in, it wont use oil any more.
The rings have sealed.

Steve's right. When your engine is new the cylinder walls in the block are made with some texture in them from being machined. So, as your engine brakes in, the piston rings polish the cylinder walls giving each cylinder it's own unique seal. The oil loss was caused by oil bypassing the rings because they had not yet polished the cylinder walls. Now that you are no longer having any oil loss, your rings have "seated". Also, now that rings have seated, the compression ratio of your engine is at it's peak making the engine as strong as it will ever be unless you start adding performance parts and what not.;)
