NorCal ride to see SoCal gang 8/20- 8/22

That would have surprised the hell out of us if you showed up! :BLAA: But break that baby in first!

I kept it real with the robot dance! ;) 112ºF it was the "hottest" dance you'll see.

I'm glad someone is keeping the robot dance tradition! Hahaha! That's great Bryan! LOL!

Oh by the way, I am home. Rode home via Big Bear Lake. Highway 18 is great, and it's even twistier on the other side going down the other side into Lucerne Valley rolling towards Barstow.

I'm in for next year up in Northern Cal or Southern Cal. Had a blast!

Thanks for sharing your pics everyone.

Glad you all met up and had a great ride.

If only Australia wasn't so big we'd be able to do this a little more often too :D

Nice to meet you Rob, and amazing looking FZ1 you got!!

We passed 3 or 4 cops on Palomar, but following the speed limit is fast enough on that road!!! :D

That cop was awesome!!

Kenny to the cop: "Officer, since you're going to write them an expensive ticket each, can you at least turn on the lights on your car so we can take a couple of souvenir pictures for them?" LOL he did it!

Here they are again :D

The cop then proceeded to tell Mike and I that our OEM STOCK Buell windshield is illegal due to the color... wtf?!? he didn't write us up or anything, but that is just plain bs imo...

Thanks for the new pics David. Just got home a couple of hours ago after an 11 hour ride home with Chemiker (Travis) and Tailgate (Stacy) to the Bay Area. Great ride through Ojai and the mountains. Only bummer is I dropped my bike on a pull out on our way out of the mountains. :( Not much damage to the bike due to the frame sliders but I hyper extended my elbow and can't straighten it out. Working on my pics tonight and will post my contribution asap.
Thanks everyone who took the time to take all the great pics of our ride.

I'm home too! This weekend exceeded my expectations to say the least. Great food, great company, and amazing roads. Thanks to Cali Rider and Wavex for arranging this, and Lefty and Tailgate for riding down and back up with me. And thanks to everyone else who came from wherever you are to ride with us. It was refreshing to see everyone as cool and friendly (or moreso) in person as they are on the forum!

My only regret for the weekend is that we only did Montezuma twice (down and back up) :( That road is eerily serene/consistent/well maintained - my new favorite. I've never seen anything like it. I guess it gives me something to look forward to next year

Thanks again!
Travis

We all missed you Cliff.

I miss you bad a$$ hoons to! Also looking forward to the next ride we do and meeting up with the others from up north. I know it's going to prolly be once a year but maybe I'll get a chance to throw some bags on the new SV and haul it northward.
Got a chance to head out with some neighbors to Wildcat Canyon Road and ride into Ramona and back home. We road past sundown. Really nice views at sunset. I really enjoy the new V-twin!

Do I see french lingerie too???????? :rof:

I was just pointing out that after everyone threw in cash for their dinners and beer, there was nothing left for Wavex to pay for on his card and he got his dinner and beer for free. :spank:
That's another reason I'm calling him "Mr. Lucky" from now on.:Flip:
