noob Question

I saw reflective tape the other day for bike rims and I was wondering if it was for looks or is it like safety reflectors on a bike. Thank you for taking the time to answer my nood question :thumbup:

for saftey, I believe, I've never heard of it being used for looks. I've seen a pic or 2 of bikes with these at night and they work very well.

I've seen some bikes where it makes them really stand out. Like a red fz with red rim stripes on black rims, nice. I think they can be for both looks and safety.

I put tape on my gsxr750 for looks as in rossi having bright yellow on his M1 rims

I usually polish my rims but i decided just to get red rim tape to brighten up the black wheels as its a sports bike

there is reflective tape as well which could be considered to have some safety value when caught in headlights
