Sorry to hear about your Bro mate but more air time for you :D :D

I'm sitting here , parked in front of the computer ready to roll

hey you bewdy,
normally I drop in on my folks before the show but today the weather is so bad I'm trying to minimise time on the road and avoid freeway time, glad I bought the Mottorad wet weather gear, I reckon I'll be able to give a users review later tonight

happy listening

sadly Karen, oaks, or Ron as he likes to be known personally, isnt able to record the show and I was planning to on my phone but I had a flat battery damn it!!

anyway, if you don't have the tracks let me know and I'll see what we can do about getting you a listen to them as I know you're a big SRV fan.
btw it was really good to have the extra time to play a few tracks I have had to hold over, that Doyle Bramhall is a Hendrix clone I reckon

Im thinking that the 2nd last song was Big Mama Thornton doing Hound Dog but if it was the one befor that, it was Hound Dog Taylor doing She's Gone.
the last track was the Ford Blues Band ( Robben Ford) doing a Nick Gravenites track from the album My Labors, but I was checking running times not the track name I'll have to look at the cover- Ill let you know

Just checked it out, the track was : It's About Time
cheers

gday Dan,
yeah I reckon there is a lot of influence from Heart and then I thought that they were similar to the Waifs with the guys voice in there. was only when I looked em up that i realised the band make up and where they are from.
they are an interesting combo of melodic vocals and a mellow country style and then a bit of rocky stuff thrown in for good measure and some pretty good fuzz guitar on the start of "I had me a girl".. There is something in "the one that got away " that I reckon sounds like its influenced by James Parks the creator of the Deadwood theme.
there is some similarity to the dixie chicks and a little like some of the Stairwell Sisters, but both of them are certainly more country.

I like a bit of country stuff and bluegrass for sure so try and listen in for the Davidson Brothers- a couple of talented guys from down Traralgon way if my memory serves

did you get a isten to those tracks I loaded up on dropbox, sorry they havent got names embedded in the files, all aussie rock n blues and some of it will make it to tomorrow nites show
talk soon
ade
