Sweeper is the person at the back of a group ride responsible for keeping the group together or in sight. They will stop with a rider who falls out of the group. They will sometimes pull up at intersections and block traffic while the whole group leaves an intersection (illegal in most states).

Nice bikes. I wonder how the R compares to the FZ6? I read that the R actually has up to 20% MORE power and torque up to 6k RPM. It was hard for me to believe but came from the British BIKE magazine which is reputable. Would be curious to see side by side dyno results.

Sounds a bit dubious, I've heard its alot smoother and easier to ride than the FZ6, but then its generally more centred towards entry level riders than the FZ6 which is an all rounder

Once you get the modification bug, it's hard to stop. I started with repainting the whole bike white with blue pearl (looks haaawt) a fender eliminator, next thing I know, I've ordered Rizoma lights, grips and mirrors, then pazzo's, then exhaust, then puig screen, then powder coated my rims gold, then splashed carbon fiber on a few little pieces here and there...Some stuff is still in process - but it's so fun :cheer:

My buddy and I, who also live in the Houston area, have recently taken to bikes. We passed out MSF course and bought 2 new bikes. He bought a Blue FZ6R (All yamaha's should be blue in the same way that all ferarri's should be red and all Mercedes silver) and I bought a Black FZ6.

We're still breaking them in, but we're both happy with what we bought. Both going for their first service this week (600 miles)

It would be a really boring world if everyone liked the same things and drove the same bike. So if you are in the Houston area and you see 2 older gents (45+) on a black FZ6 and a blue FZ6R give us a wave.

I haven't riden the wifes R yet, but she said that it shifts pretty good. And she tends to be picky about that stuff.

I live just north of New Caney off 59 north. Saying Houston helps give people the general idea of where I live.
