It seems the economic fall was good for something after all. There is a failed land development in the town where I live. They got as far as building the sales building and one showroom house, but nothing else... but roads!
You have to go down a gravel road a bit to get there, and it's not somewhere cagers show up. I was able to practice turns and emergency braking with zero distractions or interruptions.
Even though it is not a "legit" race course, the ability to practice turns over and over again was great. Needless to say I was exceeding the posted 5 MPH speed limit
. I was able to really practice leaning and countersteering to an extent I hadn't been able to before.
I'll go back next weekend for a few hours and practice some more. Here's some pictures, but they don't do the day justice. I have to wrangle up a camera mount and shoot some videos next time.
