Hi everyone, Im Bags from Buffalo NY Im currently in afghanistan with the US Army, going home soon to my stock 05 FZ6, I already ordered a scorpion exhaust kit for my bike, Im looking at doing some more stuff to increse performance, Ive been looking at a power commander, my ultimate goal is to gain some hp and low end torque without sacraficing streetability, any suggestions, thanks

There is more thnn enough reading in the Mods section to keep you busy for the rest of your tour lol. Get home safe and well done were proud of ya.
Typically people are doing exhaust, air filter and PCIII to achieve better power. Lets face it the bike is not exactley a donkey.

best start is the filter, exhaust, and PC III. I would swap out the sprockets too to get a little extra umph in the throttle...

He didn't say he was a millionaire lol. Good call though, I often think that there are other mods that should be done before the one we have mentioned:

1. Ditch Dunlops OME (if fitted).
2. Dual headlight mod.
3. Fit an alarm or imobiliser.
4. Fit external power source (for ciggy lighter, sat nav ect).
5. Get good rideing kit (actually this is number 1).
6. Find decent soft luggage.
7. Take advavanced rider training or MSF.

but like stated before, sprockets are the biggest bang for the buck.

Hey Brother Army.

There are a lot of threads here on performance increases. The exhaust and PC will be nice, but the engine is pretty tweaked from the factory. I mean you are getting 92ish hp out if 599cc, that is really pretty amazing. The exhaust and PC will help fatten the mid range a bit. If you got the time and cash J&E Piston makes a 636cc kit for the bike. That would be nice.

You can make huge gains in the supension and to a lesser degree the brakes. Race Tech fork springs are very nice, 15 weight fork oil and better tires will take you a very long way. Galfer brake lines are wonderful, much better feel.

In the Mods section there's tons of info. However I know your connection sucks.
