Help with exhaust silencers

My new bike came with an aftermarket exhaust (Scorpion, I think. There's an "S" logo on the tips), along with a set of silencer inserts.

I find the exhaust annoyingly loud.

How do those inserts fit in? I assume it's not just a friction fitting, but there's some kind of bolt that needs to anchor it in place? I haven't been able to find instructions.

If their Scorps, look inside the muffler(s), maybe 1-1.5"deep.

You'll see a hole on the side (inside the muffler). In that hole is a threaded nut.

You put your DB killers in (lined up of course), then insert the correct sized bolt to retain them.

It IS a PIA getting that bolt started.

And no, I don't know what size the threads are, I yanked the DB killers before I got to end of the driveway and sold them...


That procedure is for the below pictured mufflers(they did make some differences). That threaded hole should be near the angled in end of the muffler.
