Got my Baseline Dyno Run!!!

No pics... many have posted them so I didn't want to be redundant. Sorry. It took me about 10 minutes with my rotozip and some sandpaper to smooth the edges.

This would be a good time to run over to Freedom Cycle and get the Battery Tender Jr. and install it too since you're already lifting the tank. Then you'll have an "Accessory Plug" I'd be more than happy to help if you want to come over and use my tools/garage.

Maybe, but i think i could do it at my place, i have a dremmel and a good bit of tools, just have to get some other stuff done too, that will most likely take the back seat to oil changes, and exhaust work on Keira's car... But i bet i can squeeze it in.

I had my bike dyno'd and tuned about two weeks ago and got the highest reading of 93.9 HP to the rear wheel, can't remember the torque off-hand but I got a print-out of the power curve, too bad I don't have a scanner! The total cost was $112.50. He charged me 1 1/2 hours for a 2 hour job.


I have stock air box, Two Bro's slip-on and PCIII


Something doesn't seem right if the bike was bone stock putting out 90HP and with my upgrades I only get 4 more horses.... Ideas?

Ironic is: I did the mod and posted. You asked for pics. I didn't have any. Then Lattin25 posts HIS mod pic and he cut almost exactly what I cut out!

It would be interesting to see what this single mod does, if anything because it "feels" like it did something cool.

The guy did tuning as well because I have almost no crackling on decel (unless I try) and he showed me the specific area's on the map he adjusted (lean and rich spots) giving a much smoother and quicker throttle response. My butt dyno confirms the results but I figured I would gain more than 4HP vs. stock. I say that cause $1100 ($700 exhaust, $300 PCIII, $100 dyno/tune) in upgrades hardly seems worth it to gain so little in HP but the fun factor is definately there.

Anyone have over 94HP or more to the wheel? If so, what did you do?

give me 4 weeks and il put my dyno sheet up. im doing a couple of engine mods to see how they go. im hoping to get over 95

Try putting a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket on for a really cheap mod that you will definately feel. 4 hp is about right for an exhaust and PC but without a torque curve, you don't really know what is going on. Torque is really what you "feel" and almost no one rides a street bike up in the rpm range where you actually get the extra 3-4 hp.
