Genuine Yamaha parts numbers

It's very helpful to know your ATV VIN when purchasing aftermarket parts. ... If
any of these are not a genuine rephrasing of the question, please help out and
edit these ... What year is this yamaha serial number jy42vyao2jc002819? ...

It says it is only for US sold models, I am sure there is a high proportion of common parts for world wide models.

Not just for ATVs I found the Fazer on there.

I have a parts catalogue for the 2004 FZ6 Europe, South Africa (5VX1) and Australia (5VX2) models.

Hay Andz,

I'm struggeling to find the Service Manual for my bike which is Fz6-S
It should be the same 2004 FZ6 Europe, South Africa (5VX1). My bike is 2006 though.

I live in Dubai, UAE and started to do a mod and wooopppss. The wiring diagram is not right.
Do you have any idea where i can find it?
Under the seat of my bike it says it is model 5VXB

My bike got the POD lights as standard day running lights. The run signals are normally off.
Thanks

Hi there,

I have a 2009 FZ6-N sold from Yamaha Brazil. As far as I know it is the same model sold in Europe; matter of fact, it probably is the same sold all over but in the U.S.

I'm in need of a handle bar, whose OEM code in Brazil is 1B3-26111-10. The code for the same part in the U.S. is 5VX-26111-10-00.

Does anyone know whether this is the same part all over regardless of part #? Does anyone know what the Y*** and VX codes stand for?

Regards,

LS

The FZ6-N handlebar is a little lower and less angled as the one for the faired version.

You could go 3 ways with the bar:

1. Buy the bar at a Yamaha dealer in Brazil (should be around €65/$80)
2. Buy an FZ1 bar (as stated in various threads on the forum).
3. Buy an aftermarket handle bar (Rizoma, Renthal, ...)

Thanks for your input, fellow rider.

As for prices, handlebar here is, like, more in the $90-100 rage. Around $40 in the U.S.

I would tend to think that the (1B3) Brazilian 26111-10 and the U.S. (5VX) 26111-10 are the same. Can anyone confirm this?

Brilliant ... lifesaver that. I couldn't find a UK equivalent database with the drawings and part numbers. I was looking for 'Bracket 6' which sits below the exhaust mufflers. I'm going to buy one grind it down so the they don't touch the cans ... paint it properly and refit under my LeoVinces. The original has seen salt once and is now minging.

hi,

i understood that oem parts is the most important, but may be it will be useful to mention not oem vendors and parts at 1st post too?

cause, for example, i search for a lever ie oem 5EB-83912-03-00 (it's price about 30-70$ and from used bikes its price from 35$ and more ...

today i buy not oem (emgo) lever for 8$! why we should pay more for the simple thing!? lets create non oem knowledge base, like emgo (according to their site there are a lot of things that could be cheaper than oem - handlebars, levers, footstep etc)
