Some questions about the attached diagram, it is for 2005 Fuel Pump circuitry in FZ6:

1) What do the arrows indicate in this diagram?
2) What is the "main switch" (3)?
3) for the Engine Stop Switch (5) what is that component ?
4) What is component 8 doing ? It looks like a relay but is the connection default to on or off if ECU is supplying voltage?

5) Really not seeing how the ECU (6) is interacting with this circuit? Why is it even involved?

1) Arrows show direction of current (conventional) flow.
2) Contacts in your ignition switch
3) That's the red kill switch.
4) Component 8 is the fuel pump relay that is located in the safety cutoff/ starter interrupt assembly.
5) The engine stop switch provides B+ to the fuel pump relay coil. This means the coil has positive voltage potential but there is no current flow until the ECU provide the ground path for the coil at which time the relay contacts pass current to the fuel pump.

You may have not known this but we have a copyright policy on our forum where we don't post copyright material. I will take care of the posted page. :)
