ha! well, don't try to move on my zip tie design mod. i have you know its patented, and Yammy is taking a close look at its manufacturing process and how to retool to get it done

heard they are even going to use it on their guitars and drums to satisfy all the DIY millennials who flat out reject wasteful, fool hardy solutions likes screws, nuts, and yes, even bolts!

wow, have not seen this thread in a while, but it does remind me i have a pair of the inserts from the original buy! i never put them on the pass pegs! guess i should do that!

I got a set to put on my wife's SV650, and I like them enough that I'll be getting another set for my FZ.

They may not fit perfectly without modification. I'm sure someone will chime in with more info.

Problem with metal ones, as I heard here and there is that, it won't absorb any vibes from the body and give directly to your feet.
Fz09 doesn't have any rubber and people buying the ones with rubber and upgrading.

From what I understand the foot pegs and inserts that luckyirishboy209 used to make have been no longer available for years.
Last year one of our members was interested in grippier foot pegs for his FZ6. I did a 3D model, rendered it and did some quickie details for an insert to replace the rubber insert, so that one of our other members could do the kind deed of machining them. They turned out pretty nice.
I haven't heard much back on the performance but I can only imagine they are much better than the stock rubber inserts. As far as vibration, I got rid of my stock pegs on the SV and replaced them with slash cut metal pegs for extra clearance and I never notice vibes because of no rubber.
Here are some picks of the prototype inserts. The grip is not a knurled finish but instead a machined finish Using a "V" cutter to give superior gripping performance.

Anyone with rubber insteps on their boots be warned that a tiny bit of moisture and your feet fly right off those rubber pegs. Been there done that.

Also, I mounted the rear sets solid and have knurled pegs. The vibes are nothing!!! Just like any other bike.

Running these for now... they bite well. Boots never slip wet or dry!

Grip is amazing and they help to really lock your knees in. I swear by these!

You might try contacting Jblk9695 Jerry. He was the one who machined these. I did the initial 3D design and details in AutoCAD and handed them off to Jerry who did an awesome job machining them.

I had planned to grab a nice shot just after a big wash but time has not been friendly of late
Gotta say tho', these inserts are really excellent- I am NEVER going back to rubber pegs, grip in the wet is fantastic

You could have them anodized or powder coated. My fleabay specials are anodized and just recently broke through the coating of the actual contact patch. I think it took close to 3 seasons tho!

Good Job Jerry for supporting the old Fizzy gang!
