you go to harbor freight or home depot and buy a stainless steel mud tray for four dollars....and you cut it with tin snips and there you go very easy very rigid

normally the kits start at 60.00$ to 120.00$ very simple you just have to use a ruler or straight edge, sharpie marker , and 4.00$ mud try for dry walling it is very simple ................and very durable

not bad. if you screw up and it looks like chit you're only out a few bucks. I'd go as far as throwing a few coats of high temp black paint on there to hide the bracket better.

I like it. I admire your ingenuity. I used some "tornado straps" (strips of sheet metal) to help fab my speedo bracket when I did my streetfighter conversion. Love home depot!!
