That is the same thing as the FZ1 and R1. Secondary flies it is called. On FZ1 forum we remove those plates or cut them to smaller dia. Improves throttle response and midrange. Even the intake funnels or velocity stacks are also same kind. Which means this bike is a ditto copy of the FZ1 except for the displacement and power. Suzuki and Kawi bikes also have similar subthrottle plates.
