Crazy low-cost alarm system

I have a Scorpio but I see this on ebay and am amazed at the low, low price on this alarm system:

It seems too good to be true: $40 and free shipping! But, hey, maybe it's a gem of a deal.

Thats pretty cool.. I wish I had a remote start! My roommates crappy Tank Vision even has a remote start... He bought the bike for only 500 bucks just to learn to ride on.. The problem is the bike is so crappy that he doesnt like to ride it.. I think we are just gonna fix it up a bit and sell it on..

The scary part is the 7 days to return if it's AFU... and they will only replace with another like item. If they do agree to take it back, they don't pay for shipping, and hit you with a 15% restocking fee.

Then they go on to say the mfg's warranty is for a whopping 90 days.

I'm using a Merlin 2000. Made by DEI so you know it's good. Brain is not waterproof so I mounted it in a plastic bag. Very happy with it and the remotes are tiny. Here's a link to one:

Seller has pretty good feedback so I'm not concerned. I can always dispute the charges with Visa if anything goes wrong.
