The house was fine...even the fish & frogs survived with no food for 5 days.
It's hard to decscribe the feeling of fear that comes over you in the moment when you have to leave your home in a heartbeat....but now I understand how Dan must have felt during the floods last year or Cliff during one of many fires in Cali over the years. My wish is that no one would ever have to go thru it again. It's emotionally very draining. But thankfully, we're home and everyone I know up in the Mtn. Shadows area was safe.

Glad to hear that you family is safe and your home was saved! I just read about the looters who take advantage of people during a time of crisis. Pathetic use of carbon! They easily could be a great fender or chain guard! The time lapse video was mesmerizing!!

just a few pics I took last week....
the first is of Blodgett Peak, I'm right down the hill from it
the second were a couple of the helicopters, they were based on the AFA
the third is Blodgett again
and the last pic is of my friends home (not a horrible place to have to evacuated to :) )
