Brakeline confusion

second day off work with man flu has given me an itchy creditcard finger..

my fitst port of call was brakelines..ive already decided im gonna get HEL lines..but their appears to be two types available,the 2 or 3 line kits ..so basically my question is this..should i stick with the oe 3 line configuration or go with the two..are there any + or - to either setup

The fluid in the brake system exerts the exact same force equally on every surface in the system.

It really doesn't matter. I used the the two line system, it works just fine for me, but I guess the three line system would look cleaner.

The o.e. lines is are just rubber - they expand under pressure and you are supposed to replace them every 4 years. Wrapped aftermarket/racing lines do not expand (which gives a better feel to braking), so it dosen't matter if you have 2 or 3 lines on the front. I recently received Hel brake lines myself. I have not got around to installing them yet but they look really sharp. I got the "race" setup, I believe that is what they call it, with the 2 lines for the front and 1 rear. I've posted a picture on the forum in a post when I first received them. I think the biggest advantage with the 2 lines over the 1 with a splitter is making sure there are no air bubbles when bleeding the system.

please make sure you post some pics when you get around to fitting them..id like to know how neat the fitting is compared to the oe 3 line setup
