bad oil

I tried some cheap oil from a local bike shop my motor was loud and I think it made my clutch slip after 1400 miles I couldnt take it. I switced to Lucas semi synthetic 10w40 what a difference 6.95 a quart at O Riellys auto parts. I also put castrol 4t 10w40 in my wifes FZ6R it sounds and seems to be working well also 4.65 a quart same place.

Funny, I was thinking about trying Lucas in the bike. I have another 500 to go before another oil change...might try it.

I changed my oil about 2 weeks ago, using the Castrol 4T 10W40 and a Pure One filter. I had to adjust the clutch a bit a few days after, but not in a bad way (it seemed to get a little tighter). So far all is good with mine, no added noises or clutch problems.

+1 on the Lucas Oil Semi-Syn. I used that in my FZ6...ran and shifted very smoothly. Good oil at a good price.

Nothing but royal purple in eveything I own and on my bike im also runnin a pure one filter but ive never felt any smoother then the purple but you do pay for it its like 8$+a qt
