acar Andriod app

So I downloaded the acar Andriod app back in March to keep track of my expenses for my car and the bike. After 3 months of use, I was impressed with the app and have some surprising results (at least for me).

On my Fz6:
Average MPG was 46.414 (Min 41.07, Max 51.67).
Running Cost/day: $4.57.
Average $/gal: 3.596 (I live in Houston).
Distance/day: 48 miles (I commuted 30 miles/each way).

On my '00 Celica
Average MPG: 32.312 (Min 30.27, Max 32.894)
Running Cost/day: $11.36
Distance day: 94 miles (I guess I use my car more).

I have done maintenance on both vehicles by myself. I know it's only been 3 months but it seems like even with a 4-banger, operating the motorcycles is 2.5 cheaper than operating a car. I guess I need to ride more to keep the cost down. It's just so HOOOOT in houston right now.

I love that app I use it all the time. The developer is also a really helpful dude. I had to replace my phone but luckily had backed up my acar data to my sd card and when I got a replacement phonel my old data wouldn't load I emailed him he got back to me in 24 hours with a fix.

I think over a longer period of time it may even out a bit more. Considering tire replacement costs/vs. mileage, amongst other things for your bike. But still probably a bit cheaper, plus for the fun your having its almost as if someone is paying you back to ride your bike :thumbup:

I also have the acar app, just downloaded it about 2 weeks ago for our trip to Yellowstone so I used it with our truck. On my next fillup with the bike I will be starting to keep track of it. Very handy and useful app.
