So Ive been pondering finishing my old FZ 600 project (streetfighter) I have been ocasionally looking around for carbs for it, but seeing that they are very elusive I was sending out a request for info. My question is will the FJ600 carbs off a 1984 model work? These bikes are pretty much the same engine, same bore, stroke, CDI, the works. The only difference is the FJ600 came with Mikuni BS32 which I know are a 32mm carb, and the FZ600 came with Mikuni BS30 which as we can tell are 30mm carbs. What I want to know if anyone has the knowledge to help me out with the classic "will they work?" Yes I know its a older bike, but I got it for free and have tinkered with it periodically. It has spark and everything else is good to go except the lack of carbs... So Im sending out a SOS here...

If the rack (all 4 carbs bolted together) will fit into the intake manifold CORRECTLY, I would think you'd be ok. Linkages may be different so some modifications may be down the road as welll as some minor jetting changes. The 2mm intake difference isn't much but will flow a little more air/fuel. You could probably change out the rubber intake manifolds to fit the 32's as well if needed. Check yours very closely for dry rot/cracking....

I'd measure the diameter of the intake manifolds and center to center of all 4 carbs and if buying over distance, relay those #'s to the seller and see if their the same...
