I was on my way to work this morning and had to perform a hard stop going about 70mph. Hit the back brake to hard, the rear tire locked up and I was sliding sideways maybe 50-60 feet. I came to a stop about 2 feet from the dump truck that was stopped in the left lane of the highway(reason...
This looks to be a bit cheaper than the kits on Partzilla.

Think this would work for both of my front calipers?
Might buy an 08 CBR1000RR with 15k miles from a guy at work. He picked it up from where he used to live a few months ago and said he had some work to do on it then he'd be ready to ride with me. Today I asked him if he had it ready yet, to which he replied he didn't have the time energy or...
Getting a new set of tires next week...
Bike has run 61.000 km so maybe I should change the wheelbearings while the tires are off - even if they seem fine?
Yamaha dealership price here in Denmark is sky high - 100 USD for a set of frontwheel bearings and a whopping 180 USD for the...
Looks like we'll have some nice weather this Saturday the 19th! With the El Nino weather and my work schedule I've missed out on riding as much as I'd like to.
I'll also post this on our SoCal Hoon Google mail. :-)
Hello guys, i hope that i can find some answeres here for my problem.

I'm going back to stock, not riding that much at night anymore anyway. I have a new relay for them, the relay that came with them always gave me trouble and finally gave up the ghost. I wanted to do a couple of things differently and had to rewire anyway so took everything apart. See that...
I just finished my 6th season as a biker all inclusive years having the FZ6.
It's been a good run with many zen moments, exhilaration and friends made.
The vibe this year was just totally different. 2 of my good riding buddies domestic situations have changed (think turning into real grownups...
Hey guys. Checking in after a while off the bike and forum. Life and work got busy, but fortunately things are starting to calm a bit going into the holiday season and getting some rides in here and there between Oregon showers.
I'm looking to do some work on the bike in the off-season. #1 is...
Was trying to plan on a cruise for a week in the off season but looks like it's not going to work this time around. So, that gives me money to buy a Leo Vince!! :Flash:
Good evening guys and gals! I recently bought a FZ6 and I am just taking this opportunity to introduce myself. This is my ride below and after buying the bike it developed a electrical fault which had me going round in circles. Now it's fixed I cannot wait to put some miles on her riding two and...
Heya dudes! I've scored an apprenticeship with the Toronto Millwright Union, and will be expected to bring with me a certain amount of tools. Having mulled the list over, I've already got half of them and the remainder don't appear to be too bulky. As such, I'm looking to find solutions for...
Hi guys,
Can we use front OEM turn signal kit to the rear? Will they work as DRL right away or extra wiring/tapping/connections needed? Will I confuse the driver behind me or is that fine?
Did anyone of you guys have this installed on their bike?

So I'm looking at these and they look pretty cool, kind of like inverted clipons. Problem is, I don't know if they'll fit or if they'll work well on the FZ considering the buzziness of the bike.

It does work, although you will need to do some modifications to make the job al lot easier.
First thing is bolt the changer down to an immovable object, I have it attached to a 2' x 4' x 3/4" thick piece of plywood and it did work but would be a lot better solid mounted.

My 2006 FZ6 (FZS6V) has learned a new trick:
Bought it used in 2011 with ~9K kms on it. I've put ~30K kms on it since. Regular maintenance by myself and local shops. New plugs in Q2 2012, new battery in Q2 of 2014. Until recently, no issues with the bike.
