    down..!!!.

5k out the door? That's awesome! I owe a lot more than that on mine, embarassingly (thanks, in part, to the fact I was upside down on my previous bike when I traded it for my FZ). Good job, man!

Anyone interested? R6S forks and calipers

How come you're getting rid of them? Are they better than the regular R6 forks (or is there much difference)?

    down..!!!.

Did your insurance go up? What did you do with your first bike? Have you considered parting it out for some extra cash? Good to see your injuries weren't worse . . . a girl at my school just died last week on her Kawi 650R when a cager made a left right in front of her. Seems like a ton of...

    Brand New FZ6 rider question

Just get used to making it scream all the time, if you really want to get around fast . . . I came from a 1000 inline 4 with lots of low end torque, so sometimes I catch myself upshifting too far, and it 'lugs'. Letting the engine scream still seems 'wrong', but I'm getting used to it. For...

    What's Hiding Under Your Seat?

Don't forget a small bowling towel to wipe down condensation/visor crap/fogged up windows and mirrors! And a pair of vise grips . . . I heard that they're good to have in case you snap your gearshift lever or rear brake lever off, sometimes you can tightly clamp them on any metal remaining to...

No kiddin' about the 69 Honda CB350, we're working on one ourselves! We just got it running, gonna rebuild the engine next as it seems there is gas making its way into the oil . . . I love the look of the Honda Dream, I too wish you were closer! I would snatch it up in a heartbeat . . . argh!

Are bike cops our friends or enemies???

I've waved at quite a few, and a few have nodded/waved back . . . however, I know a buddy of mine got a ticket for doing 5 over in a 45 zone by a m/c cop, we're still puzzled by that one . . . and yesterday, I pulled onto a major road, saw a m/c cop several cars ahead of me, he actually pulled...

    Tuning ECU without Power Commander????

I keep hearing of using mysterious menus via the gauge cluster to tune the ECU a bit . . . I remember reading one post where the guy had adjusted "C0, C1 and C2" to accomodate his exhaust . . . does anyone know where to find more information on this? I have the feeling that the Power...

    Visit to cycle gear store

Cycle Gear in Daytona has a pretty good selection, including boots up to 15! I know, because my buddy that does Supermoto racing tried a bunch on before he ordered his . . . they have a wall full of helmets, but I'm not sure to what sizes they go to. All in all, they usually do have a...

    2009 Yamaha FZ6R Review

The combined passenger pegs/rearset Yamaha opted for seemed really cheap; you could touch it with your toe, and it moved considerably. Other than that, I thought it was a great looking bike, but they only had the white w/pink design on it, which I posted pics of in another post about the FZ6R.

    2009 fz6r!?

They got the girly white and pink one sitting at the dealership where I got my FZ6, and sure enough, the Super Pillion Rider went to it like a moth to the flame . . . it is a nice looking bike though. Kudos to Yamaha for making such a sporty looking beginners series . . . although ultimately...

    motorycycle insurance

The medical coverage was completely outrageous with Allstate . . . would've been something like $500/mo or some nonsense . . . the agent even mentioned that no one ever purchases the medical coverage, its far cheaper under "normal" health insurance policies elsewhere . . .
