I've been running in no-screen mode for 6 months, and I doubt I'll ever go back to screened. Not even with a cut screen.
I did it for similar reasons; I want a naked bike, but I just can't get past the perverse equation of adding money to subtract parts. Anyhow, I was never really a fan of...

Even in the gnarliest twisties, I'm usually running a pretty high gear. Generally my sweet spot is in 5th at 35 to 65mph. Lower gears would certainly pull harder and provide better compression braking, but that's not what I'm into. The higher gear minimizes the snatch during on/off...
Defy, I've had the same experience. When I ran Diablo Stradas, I never got anywhere near the edges of the front tire.
On the BT016s, I've got them scuffed to within 2 or 3mm of the edge.
Love these tires!
JMHO, but backpacks == the bad. I even feel foolish riding with a camelbak, given the incompressible nature of the water inside.
What you're describing sounds like the perfect use-case for a tankbag. That's what I'd go with.
...Only I hate tankbags. I still use mine, only I keep it clipped...
Wish I'd known you were up in the area. I was out playing around on the Parkway around Little Switzerland all day Saturday. RideRep of my own coming, likely this evening.
You can't assign a denier rating to leather.
By definition:
In other words, the term only refers to specific fiber density. Since leather isn't a fiber...
That was a good one!
Hats off to Dovi for keeping his head when everyone in front lost theirs. A deserved way to start his tally in the premier class.
Hats off to RdP for his much-improved form and a great ride to the podium. He had me nervous with that wide entry into Redgate. He was...
Its a pretty cool feeling, eh? Aside from the butterflies, here's hoping the sense of adventure never fades.
Now that I'm a dedicated telecommuter, there are times I genuinely miss the process of suiting up and riding into the office.
I'd very readily consider swapping for a 955i Sprint RS.
A 1050i ST? Not a chance. Well, maaaaaybe a little chance. :)
It doesn't make sense, but that's where I'm at.
