And finally.. could not let motojoe outdo me with the BMW space ship rental, so we got one of these!

I was hoping to get the one with clutchless shifting (that's the one Vicky wanted to try), but they only had the manual model. I'm happy to say that V DID try it and really liked it. I gave her a quick refresher (she took BRC MANY years ago and has her M endorsement). Quick practice of friction zone, quick stops, shifting and then I got on the back and had her ride around some more. She even piloted the thing with me riding pillion on some quiet streets by my parents house. I think she may actually want to buy one of these things!

Great photos! You'll have to give me some tips on how to get my wife interested in bikes....apparently you've succeeded.

Yeah, but that one has an extra training wheel on it:BLAA:
Great pics, Eric! I feel Bear Mountain calling tho!

I've told John that when I can't do 2 wheels anymore, I am definitely gonna get a Can Am!
Where in Fla. are ya? I've heard it's been raining lots down there (my son is in Ft. Meyers)

Great pics Eric. I wish I had your discipline to stop during my rides and take more pictures. :spank:
Can't wait for your impressions on the Can-Am..

I'm in Palm Coast. It's about 15 miles north of Daytona Beach. Yeah, it has been raining here a lot, but it's still good. We've been able to go to the beach every day and while we did get soaked on today's ride, it stopped raining long before the ride was over so we were dry by the time we were done :D

I already wrote up on it few months ago: http://www.600riders.com/forum/bar/...ws-ninja-1000-super-tenere-can-am-spyder.html

The only difference is this one is manual (proper clutch and shifter). Clutch (hydraulic) is very good on this thing. Very predictable friction zone with easy modulation. Lever effort is medium. Shifts are smooth and precise. LOVE reverse gear :D

Some of the weirdest things about riding the CanAm coming from a motorcycle: not putting your foot down when you come to a full stop and having NO front brake lever.

Just one more day. Dropping off the snowmobile today and spending the day at the beach (Flagler). Heading out very early tomorrow.

What a shame!!!! I'm sorry I read this so late.
I'm about 1 1/4 hours from there.

Will you be coming back in October?

I'll be there as well.
I don't know why they did it during the same weekend (biketoberfest and AIMExpo)

I know??? The week before or after would have been nice. I've been to Daytona few time... other that hanging out at Wing House... not really my thing. Are you riding there? Not quite sure how its all going to happen but most than likely I might leave early Saturday morning. I'm meeting some friends (FZ8 owners) over there and might stay over in Tampa for the night (One of them have a house there...)

Well, if you are riding i could pick you up on the way there? I'm in Boynton Beach area... 150 miles away, perfect for a fuel stop! LOL :BLAA:

I'm thinking to head probably Friday to Daytona and Saturday to Orlando.
After these two days I'll decide Sunday which one will be a repeat.

I'll be riding there. We can talk to meet around Cocoa and then head there (there is a Pilot has station on the exit towards SR520 which normally has a good gas price.
