New User + New FZ6!

Hey there . . . Just wanted to drop in and get 'official'. I've been reading for some time, but today I bought my FZ6 - so I thought it only appropriate to register now!

I've been wanting a motorcycle for a little while now and really beat all the review sites to death. I liked everything I read about the FZ6, but when I finally popped in here, the degree of unyielding devotion expressed over these machines sealed the deal for me. . .

In any event - I purchased my beautiful 2008 FZ6 in Cobalt Blue today. . .Several dealers had indicated that they had some difficulty stocking them, so I was excited to get a call today at work from a local dealer saying they had received one.

Well, I drove down there without delay, and the salesperson assured me there was one available...I said "Please tell me it's Cobalt" - he looked puzzled for a moment then simply said "It's blue." Well I about fell over myself laughing, but I snapped it up immediately.

Now the only problem is - It's been raining like the Great Flood here for three days and supposed to rain for two more . . . It's killing me! There's only supposed to be a 50% chance for precipitation tomorrow. . .I may just flip a coin and ride it out of there!

I suppose that's it for now. . .Great forums, and great community. I'm pleased I found you all.

Have you tried the reverse raindance? You know throwing dirt on your car?

Well my car stays dirty, so I dont know if tossing some more dirt on would appease the rain.

I haven't rode for about 8 years now, but I had a '94 FZR 600 that I rode the heck out of for almost 3 years. I liked the bike, but I definitely did not want to lean forward so much this time around . . .

As an aside - I'm being toyed with. It rained ALL DAY here, and now, an hour after the dealer has closed - the sun is coming out!

It's nice weather in Serbia for two weeks now, but I will receive my new Fazer on Monday and guess what, it will be raining from Monday at least two days

After you've had some time in the saddle, you sound like you'll be just as enthusiastic about this bike as most of us!

I'm so happy with it, I'm on my second one! Sold my '05 to get the '08!!!

Just an update - Picked her up today and put 120 miles on before the rain threatened. . .Love it already . . .

I can't for the life of me understand why all you fellas like the blue one. I have a diamond black and I love it to bits, its a Fazer after all
