Well, while posting to helping a member with an electrical problem, I hear sirens in the distance. Short moments pass and now the sirens are HERE next to me!!! WTF???? I go downstairs and fire trucks are pulling in. Now to determine depth of scene; domestic violence or fire? << 2 Most common incidents in apt life.
As i get further into the parking lot I see smoke over the building roof and my heart sinks as its my string of buildings but its not straight up fire from our buildings (Good). Up the stairs and to the deck I go to finds this:

Insert SUCK here as there is little access between the fire and our location. Continue with - what matters and what should I leave behind knowing the wind is blowing 20+mph today and I know there is limited access to the fire zone.

Big rumble in the parking lot; Ladder truck to shoot over the complex! Excellent! They know WTF they're doing! Thank you local Fire Dept! Yes, new Mazdawg and Fiz is under cover on the left. . .

LOL here we have bowling ball effect; one guy jumps the fence and knocks 2 down!! Tehy were laughing it was pretty damn funny! Sadly I didn't have the camera but grabbed it and shot this. Notice the hose under the fence!

I hope all are OK and this is just a little wake up call to keep our priorities straight. Sadly, last December I called 911 to report a fire about 3 blocks from here. Again, the wind was blowing then too! All is well and Beer for lunch isn't all bad!

All is well that ends well, glad your ok.
Your lucky to have such an efficient fire department. Our fire station was closed last year due to recession related budget restraints.

There's a trail down there - I'll opt for careless smokers but I really don't know. The way the wind was blowing and seeing the smoke come over the building I was like Oh-sh!t, this could end badly! Then a survey of the sitch and seeing there is limited access had me thinking time-line and what if. . .

They like it WAY more than Red Stuff!.

Green, purple, blue, red, yellow and clear in that order. . . Then I read that our food dye is harmful to hummers reproduction system. Limit is one drop per cup now!!!!

I need a silent camera. Even with a 200 mm lens, the shutter scares them away. Funny, out of so many times trying to capter good birdie shots its tough.
