FS6, motovation, others? Which ones do you think are the best quality? The motovation look really good, but seem to be the most expensive....But, I'm not going to save $30 on something that may make a big difference.
Thanks,
Dani

I got the Pro-Tek sliders from the dealer. They sell for $61.95 but they gave them to me for $48.59 installed. They're made of the same Delrin material as the racer's sliders. Seem to have a great reputation. I had Uncaged on my 2005. No complaints about them but I don't like their anodized black ones. Motivation sliders are great too, just priced far too high for what they are (nothing more than a Pro-Tek).

the fs6 sliders seem to be good quality but im having a problem getting hardware from them...(got two long bolts and haven't gotten the correct one yet.)

I looked for some of the bolts that you need as well. the thing is that the bolts are a metric fine thread. I had to get a set of bolts that had the same threads but were not threaded up all the way and get them threaded the rest of the ways. didn't cost me anything got them done at work.

Motovation!

Any ones that you never have to use...

BINGO!

I'm seriously considering nuking any and all posts titled "which is the best...[fill in the blank]". It's a stupid question to ask and I'm getting real tired of seeing it. As this is a forum with many different users, all with varying opinions, one cannot simply have " the best" of any one thing as what might be "the best" for one person, may not be "the best" for someone else or someone elses situation.

It should instead be asked "What would you recommend...", or "What would you suggest...".

YAY!!! NUKING!!!!

Or maybe a big sign that says PLEASE TRY THE SEARCH FUNCTION that would be nice.

Dankatz its not picking on you, its just been said 50 times here, and 10,000 times on every forum everywhere.

Search is your friend.

Boneman, don't get upset. I am just having a hard time deciding what to order and there is a big difference in price where some go for $38 and some for $85 and I have no clue why. Anyway, I am back to square one since the Shoguns are out of stock at kneedragers and newenough.
Dani

Oh no, a whopping $38 difference...yikes, what a dilemma....lol. Better not try deciding between spending $700 or $900 on the exhaust you want.....

And I'm not upset, not even close. You will know when I'm upset....it's when your post suddenly 'disappears' from the forum.... :D

Go with a name brand....motovation (SP?) and uncaged both have a great rep. I crashed at speed with my uncaged twice now and they did a great job protecting everything without damaging the frame.

It should instead be asked "What would you recommend...", or "What would you suggest...".

I read his "best" to mean just that *shrug*

Lol...show me where it says I ALWAYS have to be helpful? I've certainly contributed enough to this and other forums that I think I'm entitled to go off the rails every now and then.... I deceided to take a few days off from being so darn helpful as I'm a sarcastic bastard at heart and my inner douchebag was itching to get some air! :D Geeze guys, get some thicker skin or wear a sweater or something...sheesh... ;)

Us Mods can have bad days too ya know...or weeks...perhaps months.....

As you will find out, buying bike parts is like most things in life...you get what you pay for! Why esle would they coin the phrase?! Considering sliders could help prevent hunderds, even thousands of dollars damage to your bike, one shouldn't be too hesitent in making a decent investment into them.

I guess I'm a little punchy as of late as we seem to be getting an overwhelming number of "I can't be bothered to so some investigating on my own so could everyone just tell me what to do" posts. This is not directed all at you dankatz. I was just trying to bust your chops a bit. I, and others, somehow managed to find and purchase frame sliders without the use of a forum for help. Spending about 20-30min on Google yeilded me with more than enough info to make an educated choice in material, quality and price.

Didn't mean to offend. The whole "the best" posts just bug me. Makes about as much sense to me as "How long is a piece of string?"

'wrightme43' got exactly where I was coming from and got the sarcastic undertone.

I agree, mods have bad days but they usually keep it out of the forums. You're supposed to be the "adult" here keeping things in check. You know from the "other" site I have very thick skin but you also know I don't subscribe to sarcasm and refuse to feed into it.

I just don't want this place to turn into what the other site has become and why I stopped paying there and paid Dennis to be a member here.
