Just emptied the rain gauge for the 2nd time today , thats over 200mm of rain since about 7:30 this morning .... It has been bucketing down :(

Here is an interesting little stat for you from the BOM website , Cabbage Tree Ck at Lake Manchester # 51.19m steady 07:55 AM SUN 09/01/11 that right 51.19 metre peak   & it has been raining on that all day.....

That flood peak is about 10 minutes from my house , the whole dam wall at Lake Manchester is covered , no need to open the gates :shakehead:

In this pic you can see how low it was just 12 months ago  & the Yellow circled area shows the 51 metre deep wall/valley & river.....

1st of all I just wanna say IM SOOOO OVER THIS FLAMIN' MUD :spank: :spank: 3 days straight cleaning & to tell the truth , I am completely stuffed :(

On a brighter note , I get to ride my bike tomorrow for the 1st time in 10 days :cheer: :cheer: I cant wait to have the wind coursing around me again :rockon:

I was sweeping out my shed today, and was getting annoyed at the tree that keeps dropping "fluff" everywhere, and how much of a pain constantly getting rid of it was...then i turned to TV and on ABC News 24, and there is vision of people in Queensland wading through ankle deep mud with brooms, etc....

It was a very simple reminder that my "$hit' was well and truly OK today.

Have a Bundy Humpy, sounds like you more than deserve it.

Have a nice ride to bro,you deserve it.......

So, have you ridden your trusty steed yet???

:D

Yeah mate , just a squirt around the barbers this morning then an hours run in the traffic to work  God it was soooo good to be back on it , ride fitness leaves you fast though sitting in the traffic I was getting a numb ar$3 :D

And in 35 mins I ride home again & suprise suprise its BLOODY RAINING AGAIN   I only washed her this morning :spank: :spank:

Mother Nature I ask you , dont you think we have had enough ??? ;)

Well that ride home was the most unnerving & down right scary ride in my life

Adverse weather doesnt faze me in the slightest , in my 12 years of interstate truckin' & some 8+ million kilometres i've witnessed Mother Nature at her best. From lighting fires under the sump in snow , driving through the eye of a cat 3 cyclone in Mackay , gale force winds pushing my truck sideways & taking up 2 & a half lanes of the Newcastle Freeway , fog so thick I could not see the bug deflector on the end of my bonnet & riding in recent hail storm I thought i'd seen it all....

Till tonight , when for the first time I was very worried...... A combination of very wet roads , the layer of ultra slippery mud/silt that lines Brisbanes roads & the fact that this place without power is incredibly dark.... The mud seems to absorb your headlight & high beam does sweet FA , I rode around 2 round-a-bouts with my feet down at a snails pace & still had the bike slipping under me :(... Traffic lights that you know are there somewhere but because they dont work you cant gauge where you are , along Fairfeild Rd there is rubbish lining the roadside & median strip & I swear due to it being so dark if you came off cars would not see you till they were just inches away :(

Then of course there is the potholes that will swallow you up in Brisbane & spit you out down the Gold Coast :shakehead: this city has a looooong ways to go......

Thats my sook for the day :D , the ride into work was great though  Still , I think I might cage it tomorrow with these storms hanging around.....

Well I had a sook last night & guess what ........ Im about to ride home in the a mother of a storm again :rof: Im mad I know but I cant help it , I a motorcycle rider to the core   64 km Brisbane (Mt Stapylton) Radar Loop

So much for bringing the cage :BLAA:

What are you complaining about??? It could of been a lot worse...you could of been riding a Harley!!!
