The "Off Topic" thread...

Good morning shoppers & :welcome: to Team Moto bike hunting day :cheer: Humpy likes bike shopping & today is the day we find that special bike for Kel  Wish me luck..

Trust me on this, if your Mrs wants a GS500, what she really wants is a VStrom 650.

Well, thats how it worked for Mrs Disco

Happy hunting.

I took one of these for a burn while we were at the dealer http://www.bikez.com/pictures/yamaha/2008/26456_0_1_2_xt660x_Image credits - Yamaha.jpg and all I can say is OMG    That thing is M E N T A L

The drz comes in factory motard so you dont have to spend lots of coin to convert...

I used to own one before the fz & yes it could do with a bit more power. That being said,it is an awesome bike.Unlike its 600/620/690 euro competition it can be ridden allday without bad vibes or causing dinosaur butt(Megasaurass). If you want to spend some coin to get more power the tech guru(Kev,who lives in brissy)has converted his top-end to 700cc raptor .Like I said to Disco,go & have a look at xt660.com:D

They are ****ing great the XT660 Motard. Got one as a loaner bike last year. Had a bloody hoot riding it.

Even with the standard pipes it pops & farts & sounds just like a big single should.

Was hoping my XTZ would sound the same :spank:

I used to ride with a bloke who had the XT660, and it is well under powered, but it can safely handle some pretty spectacular lean angles.

I used to ride with a bloke who had an FZ6, until he thought that was underpowered, and it too could handle some pretty spectacular lean angles! :BLAA:

I think an FZ6 is just right myself, and others night thin it's too much...i reckon the XTZ is a great choice, regardless of, and probably because it aint no grunt master!

Got the Motul 7100 and new filter in/on the bike today, can't wait to take her for a ride tomorrow :D. Never ridden with fully synthetic.

I reckon you will be posting in here pretty soon, telling us just how smooth things are...love the 7100!

Yea the 7100 is amazing!

Heard something quite good the other day:
"If you have mastered riding the FZ6 someone should be paying you to race"
(Or something along those lines)

Congrats to Kel!

Picture won't come up though :(
