Would you buy these used saddlebags? Please look.

Someone offered to sell these saddlebags to me for $25.
manufacturer= OSI
model =unknown 'OSI' product
This is what he emailed me:

They are nylon soft side bags with a hard plastic liner to maintain shape. They measure 9" wide x 15" long x 11" deep each.
They connect with two velcro straps (under or over your seat, but I always placed them over the seat on the Yamaha I used to ride).
They also have straps and clips to connect them through the frame of the bike.
There are no rain covers. I would describe the condition of the bags as 'very good'.

Please look at the pics and let me know what you think. Does anyone have any info on OSI -made bags? Are the dimensions too big? Do the bags look ugly/too boxy?

This person lives +1 hour away, so I'd like to have members' opinions so that I don't waste my time.

I have not heard of them, but found a page for ya. They are either a great deal or something is wrong with them! If he is only an hour away, it might be worth the ride.

I wonder, what sort of exhaust do you have, original or?? What stops them from moving forwards in a hard brake in, or sling into the rear wheel? They look interesting, cause my givi set dos not fit when i mount Devil exhaust.

Very good point on moving forward. I'd guess a bungee or two will fix that, or velcro (oops, sorry..."hook and loop") strip could help too.

$25 sounds reasonable to me.

can't really go wrong for that price, they "Look" decent enough...

Give them a whirl and if they stink then just sell them to some other person.

I have a stock exhaust.

They're about as big as those Cortech "Box" Saddlebags.

Anything else I should look out for when I try them on?

Ok! Reason for Question is problems with heat from the can`s to the bags. You don`t have that problem.

You cannot go wrong for 25.00. You mess that off at Walmart or the movies. Sounds like at the very least an excuse to ride the bike a while.
