The "Off Topic" thread...

From that picture, i reckon it could be done, i know the wiring harness on both bikes is pretty much identical.

My thoughts too.Now we just got to keep our eyes open for one,or find someone to lend us one for a weekend ,lol

I reckon i know someone who may be happy to help, will make a call and get back to you!

I reckon its going to really suit it once you get the tail on

I reckon you might be right, and if it is a route to getting a cleaner looking rear end within the the law as it is written, then we may be on a winner.

I think you guys might be on a winner with this one  , that would look awesome i think.....Have to let me know how it goes so i can give it a go :D

I think we are, have got hold of a 06 r6 fender, pick it up tomorrow, Mick, i will give you a call when i have got my hot little hands on it!

Might be worth taking some pics and a \"how to\" video for youtube because ive got a feeling its going to be popular

We wil see what happens....but i am pretty sure it will work, will just be a case of the "look" being right.

Another thing to remember, the 45 degrees from the axle to the bottom of the fender, that's with 45KGs of weight on it bike too... rear spring compression will bring it down more, so it can be a bit shorter and look shorter, but still be legal. (I'll have a look around for the exact Kgs, remember something about 45, but it could be 30).

:)

Let me guess, Yammy world to the rescue Jamie??? With the amount of money you spend there, they should give you access to anything you want.. including the workshop

Dont know if you guys down there in SA can do this but , my bank allows us to put any picture (within reason no nudity and offensive material) onto our key cards ......How cool is that ? So look what i ordered today :D

Damn i get my card out enough, atleast when i do it i can have a smile on my face because i have a pic of my bike on it. I so have to get one lol

Definitely not trying to be a party pooper guys, but make sure you check out all the details on the fender....the height of the reflector off the ground, the angle or plane of the plate.etc.etc. Hate to see you get it all sorted and then something else gets picked:spank::spank::spank:.

And yup it is 45kgs in the saddle.

Cheers
Mike
