wolfman down but not out!

ohh and Mike didnt really ride there he just wore all his stuff to make you jealous LOL :D

Seriously PMSL.....:rof::rof::rof:

I did actually mention the Eagle on the Hill and Old Belair road before i could shut me great trap while I was there.

Wolfman's Not happy (wonder why). This could all have been avoided in the first place if some dumb tur# had've caught a bus to the supermarket for some stinking cherries instead of picking up his car keys and showing his lack of consideration for his fellow man.

You won't see me painting the ceiling of a chapel 'cause I can't paint well. I wish people would do the same with driving.

On the way to see Wolfman in Horsepiddle I near got taken out by a dip5$!^ in a cage who decided he wanted to exit from the far lane through the space I was occupying:disapprove:. I wondered if he was going to do it so I was ready on the horn (for all the good that did:shakehead:) and the brakes. Should've seen him looking for somewhere to hide at the traffic lights down the road though. Stopped next to him and spat at him with my eyes if you know what I mean:spank::rtfm:. Luckily I'd had a good day or you'd all be looking at me on the news right now dragging him outta the car and .....well you get the idea. The next person who tries to kill me and ignores my horn may get hurt:rof::D.

On that horny note. Wolfman mentioned his intention to invest in a Stebel. I reckon I'm going to do the same. I wanna make these idiots who try to kill me think they've hauled in front of a truck:Flip::D.

yep, the more I think about it, the more I want one, and maybe some shoes just like the ones thrown at George Bush.....for those caters that forget what their indicators are for in my riding presence.... Except I won't miss!

Well folks, just found out that I am in hospital till at least Sunday, yay, Christmas in hospital! And I should not even be here, freakin victim of incompetent doctors! Anyway, that's the latest update!:banghead:

dude sorry to hear that you'll be spending your holiday in the hospital. I'll get on chat and keep you company on xmas. lol

Remind me never to need a public hospital in your country;) j/k it's no better here.

Perhaps this is a good time to quit smoking (don't get too pissed at me, I was a pack a day for 20 years). Just a thought.

It's probably too hot to ride anyway, just like all of us in the states whining about all the cold and snow we have this year- even in Ca.

Hang in there, with this much time you may reach the end of the internet!

it's never too hot to ride...but with all the holiday go-er's on the roads, probably better off them than on them roads right now.

LOL, find the end of the net.....that sounds like a futurama episode! Still something to work towards.... Or I could dig deep into the archives of this forum, and dig up some old worn out threads and post in them!

Well - that just sucks. Maybe Stumbles can move his BBQ to the hospital - or bring some of the party to you? ;)

Get well soon!

That's good to hear you're okay. Hope the bike gets fixed, it's pretty.

People are so stupid. Yesterday a stupid woman slammed on her brakes in front of me in the middle of the road(I was in my jeep), I almost hit her, and there were nothing in the road, I followed her and she turned around and had a totally oblivious look on her face, not knowing she almost got both of us killed.

There's a road here with a lot of tourists, they drive half the speed limit, slam on their brakes, start to turn into the driveway of a winery and then whip back into the road because its not the right winery. I want to kill these people.

yes sometimes the stupidity, ignorance, and inattentiveness of other road users is hard to deal with, all you can do is do everything in your power to avoid drama caused by this stuff, and they get you anyway....at least I was doing the right thing, that did save my butt, along with my riding gear.

Getting mad with them does not help after the fact either....most are oblivious to their follies, so there is no point, you just waste energy, only thing I can think of that would help is better driver education.... I think all drivers should be made to do an advanced road driver training course every 5 years or something....this includes all road users....and more advertising re safer driving, eg simple stuff, use of indicators, safe following distances, etc.

OK- Let's ban all cherry pickers and wino's from ever driving.

Can we throw in the crankster bitch that almost ran me off a 100 foot drop into the Salmon river last spring?

Anger is merely a human emotion. People do stupid things and nearly kill you, you get angry. The key is whether you act on those emotions or not.
If I find myself confronting a driver face to face, I won't assault them, I will instead try to teach them of their faults and how to better themselves, for the better of us all.

Driving is a privilege, not a right. With the accidents, fatalities, insurance rates, etc, there is something seriously wrong with the state of automobiles and motorcycles in the world.

Also the guy who caused my accident was incredibly moronic, and had no license/insurance, but guess what, I shook his hand, because he stopped and asked if I was okay, instead of running.
I respected him for this, however he had no business driving. I wish no ill upon him, only that he take the bus or have someone else drive him.

and stuff. /rant.

+1 to driver education. I think it needs to be every three years, and pretty strict. Policing things other than speeding might help too. I could drive my car around indefinitely with my indicator stalk removed and not get pulled over as long as I was registered and not speeding.:spank::spank:

Some people just should not pick up a set of car keys as they just can't drive. Yet they pass a test? Something not right there.

In this state of this country driving seems to be a right, not a privilege. :(

aaaaargh, nothing like waking up to read an Ozzieboy rant! It like an Aussiejules thread stopper, pure gold! Your right though Mike, the whole licensing, policing, driver education thing re driving in SA is all arm up! Scewed towards revenue raising, and political point scoring.... A lot of the people who can't drive are the people that contribute to policy decision, and poltical direction, it's a sad situation...am guessing its much the same elsewhere.

Even worse than that though is the people on the council coming up with world saving ideas that turn a safe intersection (never an accident) into a death trap (instantly fatalities). They put in overtaking lanes to make it easier to pass, then ruin that by putting double lines over nearly all the places where you could overtake, and the exceptions are in terrifying spots where I think they leave the dotted lines to encourage people to overtake so they die which helps justify more revenue raisng devices:(.

Now that's a rant...lol.

Cheers
Mike

Just a quick update for anyone that is interested.

Plaster came off my foot today, dont even have to wear a moon boot, can wear normal shoes...have to keep off it as much as i can, but i can walk "normally" at least.

Also, blood clot seems to be under reasonable control now....

So it's back to work, and down to the business of getting me bike sorted!
