wolfman down but not out!

Ahhh...socialized medician. Sorry to hear of the PITA at the hospital Jamie. Pretty soon it will all be behind you and you'll be dragging knee through the corners again.

When my son was 18 months old he had a terrible fever and we were advised by Dr to take him to the Children Hospital. We sat for over 12 hours with a crying child. Our "visitors form the South" were being seen before us and I kept asking the nurse WTF??? Finally we were put in a room and I asked the Dr WTF??? He said that because we had insurance they had to give us a room where as the Mexican were seen in the hall way!!!! All we cared about was our son feeling better not a room.

had a similar situation with my ten year old, took him to public hospital with a bad asthma attack, they put him on a respirator for a while, settled jim down then sent us home cause they "had no beds"! 5 hours later I took him to a private hospital and they were shocked at his treatment! Ended up being in hospital for 3 days as he was very Ill, public hospitals are a "lottery"!

I like to treat everyone at hospitals with mammoth amounts of respect...lol...way too much respect and deference. I also like to keep that special " I cut the head off my lunch with a chainsaw:sinister:" look in my eyes:eek:....LMAO.
Seems to work:D. I used to suffer very regular migraines and people used to ask what I took for it, and I'd be thinking things like,"what else? Panadol". I had one last 3 months and it got so bad I went to the quack again and before I even got in the room to see him, someone came over to check me out:eek:. When I got in to see him he asked if I wanted a couple Fortes.

"Are they any good?:don'tknow:" I ask, to which he asks, " have you not had them before:jawdrop:?"

It basically came out a) that I had not had them before, b) that this was crazy, and c) that "well if it's crazy, it's you fault guys for not giving me some:shakehead:".

They were worried that I was some sort of drug addict when all they had to do was check their computer to see they had NEVER prescribed anything:disapprove::banghead:.

That was when I started with "the look".
Looks a little like,
Hi, you guys rock, but if you don't give me what I want in what I think is a reasonable time frame I'll take it out on your 455 with a chainsaw...lol.:D

just finished my first night of work since stacking it, seem to have made it through ok, leg does not feel too bad, and I have not had a drink too numb it! Am happy, just hope I don't wake up on the morning feeling it! Just have to drive home now and it's mission accomplished! Mike, what's a 455?

Jeez mate, sorry to hear that your lovely machine has taken a knock but im glad to hear that you are ok. Bikes can always be repaired or replaced. Take it easy

Ok, small hiccup in the recovery process for Wolfman.

He just sent me a message saying he's been admitted to the hospital after they checked his ankle today and have found 2 blood clots in his leg.

Hopefully it all gets sorted pretty quickly and he can spend Christmas at home with his kids.

All the best mate.

:)

Hey Wolfie, wishing you well once again. Clots are no joke.

Hope all this gets sorted and you get back on the bike soon.

Travis

Son of a biscuit, they locked you in?

Big time positive thoughts on you getting to bust out to be home with the family for Christmas.

Perhaps we need to send a few of the boys down there to kick some a$$ on those cherry pickin' idoits who caused this whole mess.

well, first of all, thanks everyone again re the well wishes...am
Not real happy, turns out I had the blood clots when I was here last Tuesday, and have been getting around with them for the last week, unbeknown to me, and now they have turned into DVT-deep vein thrombosis.....a particularly nasty version of a blood clot, potentially fatal..... Might explain why I have been feeling flattter than the olson twins for the last 2 days!

Go for a scan in the morning to find out whether any of the clot has broken off and moved up to my lungs....Which apparently would be rather serious! I think I am ok, cause I am not tasting blood in my mouth, or coughing any blood up.

Am finally in a private hospital, and immediately I have noticed the difference, real doctor's for a start, not half baked interns who miss, or don't even look for the obvious and potentially dangerous!!!

Have had my recovery pushed back several weeks by the public hospitals ineptitude!!!!! Not faaaaaaaaaarkin happy!

More needlessly missed work and Christmas in hospital, all because of some inattentive cherry picking f******, and a couple of half baked doctors!

Have had better weeks, could of been a lot worse, but I am not a happy camper!

Now it's time to annoy the crap out of everyone with my endless posting while laid up in hospital!

Why do the government can telling us we are a develped country yet they keep on surving us up a 3rd world health system , that just gets me ...... My wife's a nurse and some of the crap that goes on up here in the QLD hospital system really gets my blood boiling........

So but the end of this recovery period we can expect at contender to Reiobard's top poster status  :D ........ Seriously dude get well real fast and get well proper this time........ DVT is some serious $hiat :(

well as you guys probably already worked out, am not exactly happy with the hospital and I am not being shy about voicing my anger, frustration and resignation!

Well about an hour ago, mike(ozzieboy) rings and says he is out the front and should he come up(9pm at time, visiting hours finished at 8) so I ring my bell to ask whether it's ok, and no-one comes for at least 5 minutes, in the meantime, mike and I decide he should just come up...... Nurse was not happy, my reply ...... If the doctors here had done their job properly in the first place, I would not even be here....:Flip:

So anyway, mike comes up, and grabs the wheelchair to take me outside, as we get to the lift a lovely older nurse comes up and tells me that smoking will increase my chances of a pulmimory infection by 50%! :eel:

Once again I told her that I would not have to worry about that if.........in the first place!

Still went out, more than anything cause I was pretty close to "venting" properly! Which probably ain't a good idea as I think I already have the nurses offside! Looks like I will me spending a night without any love from this shift!

Did listen to what was said about smoking, and will lay off while I am on danger.....

Rant complete!

Sorry guys, needed to vent!
