Works Performance Shock - $300!!!

Price lowered too! Now $300!

A friend of mine is selling the Works Performance shock from his wife's FZ.

If you are looking for a very high quality shock that can lower your bike by one inch, this is it! The shock is height adjustable, rebound damping adjustable and proload adjustment. Spring weight is 110 lbs to 160 lbs.

If you have any questions please PM me and I'll pass the question along to him.

Details: Height Adjustable, Set up to lower bike 1 inch, Sprung for 110lb rider, Fits 2005 FZ6, Used less than 1000 miles, Asking $300. I'm willing to ship it for that price.

Bumpity, bump bump...bump???

Is anyone on the fence at all on this one? Please let me know what your questions are and I'll ask my buddy for clarification.

Ped asked if this was a twin clicker, compression and rebound damping, I have a question out to Works but no response yet. I am pretty sure it is rebound only. If anyone knows for sure please post up! :D

Thanks! :cheer:

I just got off the phone with Works. The length can be adjust back to the stock length and in turn ride height, there is preload adjustment, rebound adjustment and the spring weight is from 110 lbs to 160 lbs.

The other nice feature about this shock is because it is a quality shock it can be fully rebuilt when the time comes.

If anyone is interested please PM with your email and I'll put you in touch with the seller.

I have custom Works Performance rear shock system on my other bike and found the ride quality and performance to be excellent. On my bike, it comes with a preload and dampening setting. After I set the proper sag (how to set proper shock sag) on the shocks, the ride was very pliant.

I believe these shocks will be an superb upgrade for the FZ6. With the external adjustment knob, you now be able to to make adjustments based on your specific riding conditions.

New spring, the damping should be fine. I'd suggest you give Works a call and ask about the damping range and the cost of a replacement spring; they are very cool. The number of the shock is: 26148. When I called I explained the situation gave him the number and in a few minutes he was able to give me the specs on the shock.

So is there some temporary fix by increasing the preload until I swap out with a stiffer spring? I guess if the spring was stiffer, this shock would have sold a long time back with most FZ6 riders being male.

The spring is too light for you. Preload will not compensate for a 40lbs difference properly. Really the sweet spot of the spring range would be about 130 to 140 lbs; half way between 110 and 160.

My friend had ordered this specifically for his wife who is petite so her FZ would work better for her, so yes this is for a specific audience.

Ultra Sport, retail $839.00, see their pricing guide for the model. All the info I have is in the photos and specifics I've posted, give Works a call and they can tell you all about it. 818-701-1010.
