windshield nut part number?

I finally received the parts I ordered from Babbits and the nuts are different than the ones I took off, but it look correct on the diagram, any ideas?

The nut is mounted in that rubber insert assembly. After you insert the rubber with nut and then insert the screw, the rubber part expands in the hole as the screw is tightened. This prevents the insert from coming out of the hole while there is good tension from the screw. I think your looking at the rubber insert after it has been expanded as apposed to a new one. The new one will look the same as it expands once it is used. :)

Correct 100% ^^^... All my spares look like the one on the left.

They'll expand as you tighten the screw.


NOTE, those plastic screws don't take much to strip, just barely snug
