The FZ6 is my 9th Yamaha. They have all been bulletproof. After owning Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki and KTM motorcycles, I keep coming back to Yamaha. I probably have a sentimental attachment to the Yamaha brand because my first bike was a 1976 Yamaha YZ80C; purchased by my parents. :D

Here are the three Yamahas I currently own.

2008 WR250R (EFI street legal dirt bike :BLAA:)

Cool. At first I thought you'd been taking pictures in my yard. My son has a non-street bike like the one in the top picture, I ride an FZ6 (a red one), and my dirt bike is an IT.

Post a picture of your IT. Is it a 400, 250, 200 or 175?

I lusted after the 400 when it came out in the 1970s but mine is a basket case. I bought it with intentions of a full restoration but it has been impossible to get certain parts.

Own '08 FZ6.

Bought it getting back into riding after a 30-year break. Was a Triumph freak.

FZ6 is a tough bike to upgrade from. 'Bout the only place to go is with a 1-liter, and then I don't believe the move is a quantum leap.

No pics, it was old and scuffed up and badly repainted when I got it (such a nasty purple that its name is Barney). :BLAA: I think it's a 200 or a 250. I can never remember.
