What's supposed to be in an 04 toolkit?

Hey there, can anyone tell me if pliers are supposed to be in a 04 fz6 factory toolkit under the seat? I'm buying a used one cause the bike didn't come with it, and there are no pliers in it. Just checking. Bad news is they're supposed to be in it. Good news is they're not, so the kit is a tad less heavy heehee. Thanks! Careful in the rain and those wet leaves on the curves. Best TC

Well... I got a 2004 FZ6S1 back in 2008 and I had pliers in the toolkit from the previous owner.

But this being 2012, I guess if the toolkit is there you're already in luck from Santa

According to my 04 service manual (04-06-Assembly-LIT-11666-17-50.pdf), no pliers as standard.

OWNER’S TOOL KIT
1. Owner’s tool bag 1 pc.
2. Wrench (10-12) 2 pc.
3. Wrench (22-24) 1 pc.
4. Special wrench 1 pc. (I think this is the rear suspension one)
5. Extension bar 1 pc. (and this is the tube that goes over it)
6. Spark plug wrench 1 pc.
7. Screwdriver grip 1 pc.
8. Screwdriver bit (Phillips-slotted) 1 pc.
9. Hexagon wrench (5) 1 pc.

But then mine didn't come with a handful of cable ties and some emergency petrol (gas) money as stock

Haha that reminded me when i brought mine it had a nice note hinding in the tool kit. it was a free tank of fuel for the ride home. But again no pliers in mine either.

Interesting... Then my pliers must have come from the owner's own toolbox, or... now that I think about it. Maybe I was thinking about the toolkit from my previous bike back back before the fazer in 08...

Thanks for the list. Found a used oem kit for a deal on ebay and had pliers in the picture, but not in actual kit. Ahh, simple peace of mind. Time for a nice ride. T
