Saw an ad for an '09 FZ6R with < 1k miles for $2900.

Supposedly runs perfect, ready to ride but with some cosmetic damage.

Is this worth checking out? What should I look for?

thanks!

The FZ6R is a different bike to the FZ6. It's heavier, has less power but is generally easier to ride with a smoother clutch and broader power band. There is an FZ6R forum to check out.

You should have an experienced mechanic or bike shop look it over to check for among other things bent forks, frame damage, subframe, swing arm.

You could get a low miles FZ6 for just a few hundred $ more that isn't smashed up.

+1 ^^^^

BTW, just that little picture, the tank is at over $700( Yamaha Motorcycle Parts 2009 FZ6R - FZ6RYB FUEL TANK Diagram ) and the forks appear to be bent in relationship to the handle bars... Stator cover likely damaged, etc...

I'd personally run from it but if you want to post more pic's, we can "pic it apart".

They ain't giving it away....

I have a much better shape downed GSXR1000 I'd part with for less than this. :eyebrow:
