What are the good SoCal riding roads?

I'm dying to ride the FZ out to Southern California from Southern Colorado. Mainly because I've ridden all over Colorado and our season won't start until late April, I'm getting cabin fever.

Maybe over a 3-4 day weekend. Ride to California in one shot (1200ish miles), get a couple of saddle sores done and ride out there for a day or two? I just got my heated gear (jacket liner + gloves).

I saw Palomar mountain in another thread.

There are a lot of great riding areas here! I have favorites that I never get tires of...There are spot I haven't found yet....

Make sure you stop in Vegas, probably a 12 hour ride on the bike from where you're at. I might even ride to Southern Cal with you if it's a weekend that I'm not teaching.
