Venture Idea...

Hey guys and gals, as some of you might now I used to be a graphic design major and I have come up with a busniess venture and was wondering if you guys were supportive...

The venture is called Clutch Apparel and it is a clothing line based on motorcyclists.

Some of the design ideas I have come up with are "I Like My FZ6 (or any bike) Naked!", "Live to Ride... Ride to Live... Street Fighter", & "I Ride My Girl(bike) Hard"

Not sure where you live but if you live close to a college then find out what the t-shirt guys in the area are charging and under cut their prices. College groups are always lookign for t-shirts to be made. You just have to make sure your costs are under the other guys.

There are a lot of places on the internet where you can 'design' your own shirts now so I think your difficulty will be in establishing a customer base. Advertising on the internet alone may not cut it. So make sure you have something to grab their attention.

I love your entrepreneurial spirit. Go for it, do your designs and get feed back. Get pre orders to ensure the first run is profitable. Use high quality materials. Maybe have people buy your test runs at a discount, who knows. Have you set up the LLC yet?

I like it. Some partners and I started a company. We were looking to persuit any venture that can help the social and environmental positions in the world. We came across some designers that were interested in doing just what you are doing. We are now working on making their vision a reality. One guy already is a animator at a studio doing feature films. the other is a husband/wife duo, she makes jewellery and he makes music and designs.

What you have to realize is everything wont appeal to everyone and just pump out concepts. right now we have a both sites going with line sheets and some samples made. everything is a work in progress, especially if you have a day job like ourselves. If you are interested I can send you like links and if you have any questions just ask. dont worry, we arent treading anywhere near the motorcycle market

yea, me and a buddy had a clothing company awhile back that broke down along with our friendship and I just decided that it would be a fun little side project to work on my own company and give iit a theme based on my new found love for motorcycles and design for the people that i have become friends with in the motorcycle community...

but yea Clutch Apparel is still in the works right now im designing the logo and some sample shirts and ill post em up here as soon as my internet at home comes back up.

Not a fan of the designs. They're just not my style.

I wish I could offer you more input, but I don't know how to make them better (yet...haven't had my coffee).

LOL They look great, let me know when you are up and running...looks neat to see those done up.

One suggestion...as a girl....the BIG Clutch apparel would go over better on a girls shirt if it was smaller and off to the side instead of big in the middle. IMO
